The United States-México Border Health Commission (BHC) held its 2010 Annual Meeting in El Paso, Texas, on July 19-20. The BHC brought together subject matter experts and principal participants from the U.S.

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Mexican Secretariat of Health (SSA), and leaders of the ten border states to address current strategic priorities of the BHC and review outcomes of current initiatives.

The meeting was presided over by Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service and José Ángel Córdova, Mexican Secretary of Health, who were provided updates by U.S. and México Members of the work of the BHC, to include advances to the border health research agenda, and Healthy Border 2010/2020.

The meeting also included a presentation of the BHC 10-Year Anniversary Report.
