AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN HEALTH JOURNALISM
EXTENSION OF DEADLINE
FOR THE RECEIPT OF ENTRIES
NEW DEADLINE: 31ST AUGUST, 2012
Further to our call for entries
we wish to advise that PAHO/WHO is extending
the deadline date for receipt of entries in this year’s Media Awards for
Excellence in Health Journalism to 31st August, 2012. National Judging will take
place in September, 2012 and the
presentation ceremony will be held in October,
2012.
All entries must have been
published, broadcast or widely disseminated between June 01, 2011 and May 31, 2012, and must be now submitted
no later than 31st August,
2012. For details participants are

or contact us at our office at 622-4202. Journalists are to submit their entries
in sealed envelopes addressed as follows:

Now in its 20th year,
these awards are a recognition of the work done by journalists which contribute
towards health in the country by providing sound information to the population
for decisions in health. This year, in addition to work related to healthy
aging, we are once again encouraging journalists, reporters and media personnel
to examine a wide range of elements including the concept of health and the
numerous connections between those elements.
