Trinidad and Tobago, 3rd October, 2012. The Regional Mental Health Advisor Devora Kestel visited Trinidad on September 25th and 26th to conduct an orientation to Psychological First Aid (PFA) and to meet with the Mental Health Focal Point, Ms Trudy Harding-Rouse and members of the National Mental Health committee to discuss the development of the National Mental Health Policy and the integration of Mental Health Services.

 

The Psychological First Aid orientation was well received and well attended by a variety of persons including, health personnel, fire, police, community personnel and persons from the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM). The highlight of the orientation included role play in disaster scenarios involving all participants.
