A workshop on Mental Health in emergencies was convened on June 14^th 2011.

The objectives of the workshop are as follows-:

Objectives:

• To review concepts of disaster management and understand the broader context of health in disasters and emergencies situations.
• To build a common understanding on mental health in disasters and emergencies situations.
• To review the current approach to mental health disasters and emergencies in the country.
• To define a working process to update, improve and implement the mental health action plan in disaster and emergencies situations.
