MDG Achievement Fund
The MDG Achievement Fund is a mechanism for international cooperation that was launched in 2006 with the mission to promote the Millennium Development Goals. The Fund supports national governments, local authorities and civil society organizations in their efforts to combat poverty and inequality. Thanks to the generosity of the Government of Spain and the Fund, various UN agencies, including the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), have received funding to conduct consultations at the national and subnational levels. These consultations, along with the dialogue fostered by them, will contribute to the creation of the post-2015 development agenda to be discussed in February 2013.
