Aging populations, changing disease patterns and a rapidly rising middle class are driving the need for better quality, greater access and personalized healthcare, pushing private and public hospitals to strive to excel in customer services. As a result Asian governments and hospitals are actively exploring both new healthcare models and the role of informatics in improving healthcare outcomes.
