Participants of the Project “eHealth Conversations” contribute to the publication

A publication directed to decision makers offers strategic information on the use of information and communication technologies for health in the Americas. The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization will publish the series this year. The publication presents a situation analysis and recommendations for the implementation of eHealth initiatives. 

Only a few days away to the "eHealth Conversations" project coming to a close, the virtual dialogues continue to be of particular interest, presenting views from different areas of expertise and perspectives that stress the importance of eHealth to achieving health equity. The project has sparked collective thinking among experts on eHealth topics including access to information, patient safety, eGovernment, and education in information and communication technologies.

Reflection on the present and future of eHealth in the Americas continued this week as part of the project eHealth Conversations: Information Management, Dialogue, and Knowledge Exchange to Approach Universal Access to Health. The topics discussed included electronic government (eGovernment), eHealth management, patient safety, infrastructure, and legal aspects (policy).

Reflection and debate on ideas about the present and future of eHealth in the Americas continued during the week of 3-7 December as part of the “eHealth Conversations” project. Topics under discussion include eHealth management, infrastructure, telemedicine, electronic medical records, policies, interoperability, and access to information.
 

This week, professionals continued to debate ideas and to reflect on the present and future of eHealth in the Americas, as they participated in the project "eHealth Conversations: " of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO). Among others, they discussed the following eHealth topics: infrastructure, telemedicine, access to information, policies, education, and electronic medial records.
