| New tool for the development of national policies and strategies on eHealth |
|
The World Health Organization (WHO) and The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) launched the "National eHealth Strategy Toolkit", a program to develop national strategies on eHealth.
The Toolkit was developed in English and will be translated into Spanish and Portuguese by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). Supporting the development of eHealth policies in the Region of the Americas, the Toolkit will serve to achieve the strategic objective 1 of the PAHO eHealth Strategy regarding the formulation, implementation and evaluation of public policies on eHealth. The launch took place at the "National eHealth strategy development: country experience and next steps" in Geneva, which aimed to further share experiences and lessons learned from national eHealth strategies already developed and to identify key stakeholders who can support development of new strategies.
