Shortly after the Strategy and Plan of Action on eHealth for the Americas is approved at PAHO's 51st Directing Council, in September 2011, the manager of the area for Knowledge Management and Communications at PAHO, Marcelo D'Agostino, explains that it is a transcendent moment for the Region since it is the first time that a document of strategic and political nature encourages all countries to agree on a digital agenda for the Americas.
