The interactive atlases of health inequalities in the European Region were initially developed in as part of the Equity in Health project co-funded with the European Union.

These atlases have been recently updated in collaboration with WHO Collaborating Centre for Telemedicine and eHealth - Norwegian Centre for Integrated Care and Telemedicine (NST) to incorporate the most recent data available from Eurostat as well as a recreation of the user interface of all interactive atlases.
