After seven days of intense discussions, the 66th World Health Assembly concluded with agreement on a range of new public health measures and recommendations aimed at securing greater health benefits for all people, everywhere.  A resolution on eHealth standardization and interoperability was adopted by the nearly 2000 delegates representing the World Health Organization’s Member States.

Drug regulatory agencies and ministries of health in the Americas are collaborating to strengthen drug safety and management in the Region, by exchanging information on irregularities in the manufacture of drugs and biologicals, as well as potential supply problems, in just one of the initiatives launched with support from the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization.
