Presidents, health authorities, PAHO and international organizations participated in Vaccination Week

On 4 May, a ceremony will be held in Bridgetown, Barbados. This sub regional launch will underscore the importance of vaccination in the Caribbean, and recognize the critical role played by Barbados during the 2012 WHO Executive Board meeting to advance a formal resolution supporting a World Immunization Week. Due to the efforts of Barbados, this resolution was passed by the Executive Board and will now be presented before the World Health Assembly in May 2012 for a final vote.  Ministers of Health of neighboring Caribbean countries have been invited to attend the event in Bridgetown.
