President Ollanta Humala, First Lady Nadine Heredia and Minister Alberto Tejada, launched vaccination campaign in the Americas in Peru

Minister of Health, Alberto Tejada, who vaccinated a child as a symbol of the beginning of the campaign, was accompanied by the president of Peru, Mr. Ollanta Humala, along with First Lady, Nadine Heredia.   Present at the event were also Representative of PAHO/WHO in Peru, Fernando Leanes, the PAHO Immunization Advisory Peru, Veronica Carrion, Vice Minister of Health, Percy Minaya and industry officials.  The event was held in celebration of the Peruvian Children's Day, commemorated every second Sunday of April.
