Committee on Elimination of Measles and Rubella to Recommend Actions so Countries can Maintain Gains

The International Committee of Experts (ICE), responsible for documenting and verifying the elimination of measles, rubella, and congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) in the Americas, agreed to recommend to member countries of the Pan American Health Organization/World (PAHO/WHO) they implement actions such as the constant monitoring of populations yet to be vaccinated against measles and rubella and the evaluation of surveillance systems for measles-rubella, to improve the quality of reporting and investigation of cases.
