American Public Health Association (APHA) 139th Meeting

Dr. Jon Kim Andrus, Deputy Director of PAHO, lead the session Border Health and Chronic Diseases during which the talk "Policy briefs and policy dialogues in promoting healthy eating and preventing childhood obesity" was offered. Presented by Lorely Ambriz, focal point for research, the presentation was about how evidence is being used to dictate policy regarding health problems in El Paso, Texas. This advancement in the US – Mexico border has resulted from the fruitful collaboration between Research/EVIPNet Americas team and the El Paso Office.
