PAHO is currently searching for a highly qualified Manager, Information Technology Services who will be responsible for managing the Information Technology (ITS) Services. The Organization has engaged Michael Page International Executive Search Firm to accept and screen applications and recommend candidates to the Director of Administration (AM).
Within the PAHO/WHO and UN policy framework, the Manager, Information Technology Services will be responsible for bringing Information Systems in line with the Organization’s strategic objectives, as well as leading the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Strategy and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Reporting to the Director of Administration (AM), the incumbent will lead the transformation of the Organization’s legacy Management Information System into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, in coordination with all relevant partners and stakeholders; provide leadership in use and interfacing of legacy systems and other corporate systems; accountable for managing and directing the Information Technology (IT) functions of the Organization, including information and data integrity. This includes all data centers, regional service centers, production scheduling functions; communication networks (voice and data), computer program development, and computer systems operations; maintain the integrity of all electronic and optical books and records of the Organization.
The position is graded at the D-1 level and it is based in Washington, DC.
The successful candidate must have expert knowledge in the field of information technology; experience in program management and development of long-range Information Technology plans, including defining budgetary needs, determining alternative strategies, performing cost/benefit studies, and addressing implementation and integration strategies related to information technology systems. S/he must have demonstrated knowledge and ability to oversee and lead engineering solutions for the modern, reliable, and secure operation of end-to-end enterprise services. Demonstrated experience in developing and leading customer-focused IT initiatives to re-engineer practices to better serve customers and improve processes, while ensuring product quality and conformance with customer specifications.
