-REGULATORY FRAMEWORK
Expected result: The governments of the Region will adopt sectoral health programs and policies with a regulatory framework for quality of care and patient safety

-MANAGEMENT OF QUALITY AND PATIENT SAFETY IN THE HEALTH SERVICES
Expected result: The health services will include the culture of quality as an integral part of their management.

-PREVENTION OF HEALTH CARE-RELATED INFECTIONS
Expected result: The health services and community care programs for clean care will increase.

-SAFETY OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGIES
Expected result: The technologies in the health services will comply with the current regulations, quality criteria, evidence-based application, and will be used by trained professionals

-SAFE SURGERY
Expected result: The surgical verification checklist will be introduced in the specialized health services.

-SAFE USE AND MANAGEMENT OF MEDICINES IN HEALTH CARE
Expected result: The medicines in the health services will also comply with the criteria of quality, safety, and evidence-based efficacy, with adequate evaluation of convenience and cost. They will be managed by trained professionals.

-MONITORING AND MINIMIZATION OF RISKS AND HEALTH CARE-RELATED ADVERSE EVENTS
Expected result: Systems will be implemented to report incidents and adverse events, and tools will be used for analysis of risk and adverse events.

-COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
Expected result: Active participation by patients in the quality of care and safety activities.
