The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) is pleased to present this biennial brochure, Gender, Health, and Development in the Americas: Basic Indicators 2009. This brochure seeks to lend visibility to the inequalities between women and men in several areas related to health and its socioeconomic determinants.
