PAFNCD's members realize they cannot achieve their goals to promote health and prevent chronic diseases by working alone – and that by working cooperatively they can leverage each organization’s unique contributions to achieve greater efficiency, innovation, impact, scale and/or sustainability.
Specifically, working with the PAFNCD's can help:
- Businesses to develop new products and open new markets; reinforce the positive connection between their brand and healthy, active living; reduce risk and avoid future litigation; improve efficiency; increase employee health and wellness and influence regulatory environments
- Governments to increase the impact of health care programs; use public funds more efficiently; enhance the regulatory environment and policy impact; develop voluntary standards and codes of conduct and address health risk factors beyond their immediate influence.
- Civil Society to scale up the scope, reach, and impact of their advocacy; increase operational efficiency and access to resources; influence government and corporate policy; and stimulate innovation and build capacity through key relationships.
