Print E-mail

The objective of this paper is to review if this integration exists in countries of the Americas, and in particular if and how it is reflected in the preparedness plans against avian and human pandemic influenza. Focus is on intersectoral action and its importance in this context, with specific public health measures at the interface between animal and human health that are most important for the prevention and control of zoonoses. Though published by the Inter American Development Bank (IDB), two of the authors (Albino Belotto and Cristina Schneider) work in the PAHO Veterinary Public Health Unit.(18/Dec/2007)
