CONCURSO REGIONAL DE BUENAS PRÁCTICAS PARA LA REDUCCIÓN DE LA MORTALIDADMATERNA

One of the four technical areas under the management of the Assistant Director ofthe Pan American Health Organization, Regional Office of the World HealthOrganization (PAHO/WHO), the Family and Community Health Area (FCH) is responsible for providing country focused technical cooperation addressing several broad thematic areas including: Maternal & Perinatal Health, Newborn and Child Health, Immunization, Adolescent & Youth Health, Aging, Nutrition, and HIV and STI.

FCH is composed of three projects and one center:

  • Healthy Life Course (HL)
  • The Latin American Center for Perinotology, Women an Reproductivehealth (CLAP-WR), part of the Healthy Life Course Project
  • Comprehensive Family Immunization (IM)
  • Prevention, Treatment and Care for HIV/STI (HI)

Inaddition to those, FCH leads the Nutrition, Health and Development CrossOrganizational Team (COT), and Strategic Alliance for Health Nutrition and Development and the Achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.
