Descripción de la situación epidemiologica actual del dengue en las Amèricas

  • La región de Américas ha sufrido de una actividad inestable e intensa del dengue durante el 2010. Los patrones climatológicos han sido favorables a la proliferación del Aedes aegypti, incluso durante épocas no esperadas durante el año. Hasta la semana epidemiológica 44 del 2010,  la región había notificado un total de 1.536.899 casos de la dengue, con 35.455 casos severos y 807 muertes, con un índice de fatalidad de caso de 2.28%.
