Welcome
As Director of the oldest international public health organization in the Western Hemisphere, I really appreciate having the opportunity of being in contact with people from every country in the Americas, and beyond. Sharing your thoughts, concerns, comments and achievements in public health with me and the general public is something that will be both enriching and helpful for all of us.
At the end of the day, international public health is kind of a "network of networks" -as I like to say-, where any of us can and do contribute to the sanitary well-being of society, through a myriad of actions, some bigger than others but all of them significant. Fundamental part of that network of networks are our Country Offices covering all PAHO's Member States.
PAHO/WHO Representatives (PWRs) in each of these offices, have the knowledge, the willingness and the authority to resolve all requests related to every country, as well as direct contact with me to suggest any actions at the Organization level they may deem necessary.
I also invite you to take a look at my BLOG and actively participate in the analysis and debate about the most salient public health issues in the Americas Region.
