The Director’s Technical Advisory Group on Gender and Health - 18-19 March 2013 at PAHO Headquarters in Washington

The Office of Gender, Diversity and Human Rights will convene the Director’s fifth Technical Advisory Group on Gender and Health (GH TAG) to support PAHO in implementing its Gender Equality Policy. The purpose of this TAG meeting will be to discuss the process to prepare a final report for 2014 on the implementation of the Plan of Action for Implementing the Gender Equality Policy, and to identify elements for a new plan.

The TAG consists of Co-chairs Carmen Barroso (Director of International Planned Parenthood Federation, Western Hemisphere Office) and Gita Sen (Member of the WHO Social Determinants Commission); three representatives from Member States (members of the Executive Committee of the Directing Council); 3 UN agencies; and 3 representatives from civil society Organizations.

PAHO will also invite development and NGO partners as Observers.
