The Conferences on Pharmaceutical Education have been held since 1990, with the participation of delegates from the Region of the Americas, to promote cooperation among pharmacy schools in the Americas. The Pan American Health Organization, PAHO/WHO, has participated in the organization of the PCFE from the very beginning and is represented as a permanent member of the Steering Committee. A proposal of basic curricula including the competencies for pharmaceutical services as well as the accreditation document will be discussed and approved in this conference.
