World Heart Day: Cardiovascular Diseases Cause 1.9 Million Deaths a Year in the Americas

Día Mundial del Corazón: Enfermedades cardiovasculares causan 1,9 millones de muertes al año en las AméricasCardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in the world and in the majority of the countries of the Americas, where they cause 1.9 million deaths per year. However, a high proportion of these diseases can be prevented with a healthy diet, physical exercise and by avoiding tobacco, among other measures.
