| Waste Diversion DC, PAHO and DC Fiesta Work Together |
|
Waste Diversion DC´s aim is to shift the responsibility of recycling at outdoor events from the event patron to the event host. A 2012-2013 Clinton Global Initiative University Project, Waste Diversion DC, in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), will work with DC Fiesta this year. At the DC Fiesta Latino Festival, recycling bins and environmentally, recycling-informed volunteers will instruct event patrons on how to properly recycle their refuse. Meet us in front of PAHO Headquarters (525 23rd St. NW) at 1030 am to begin the Wellness Walk 2012! We will finish at 14th St and Pennsylvania Avenue, where we will merge with DC Fiesta and enjoy everything that this wonderful Latino Festival has to offer! Join us in promoting health, promoting good, environmentally-aware habits, and in supporting the Latino Community of the Greater DC area! We hope to see you there!
