The RESSCAD XXVIII was held in Santo Domingo with the participation of ministers of health and health authorities, institutions of social security and water and sanitation of Central American countries and the Dominican Republic.  The meeting was opened by the Minister of Health of the Dominican Republic, Dr. Bautista Rojas Gómez, President Pro-Tempore of the RESSCAD, and by Dr. Mirta Roses, Director of the Pan American Health Organization, which serves as Technical Secretariat of the RESSCAD.
