About 55% of women were using some forms of contraception method in the Region of the Americas, according to the last available data by countries of this indicator in the period of 2004 to 2010.
This data visualization shows the prevalence of contraception use in women by countires of the Americas. Data were reported by national health authorites to Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). Last available data during the period of 2004 to 2010 of this indicator were used to analyze the situation of contraception in countries of the Americas.
Four countries - Granada, El Salvador, Islas Turcas y Caicos, y San Vicente y las Granadinas - presents the worse situation with values lower than 25% of women using some forms of contraception method.
