PAHO is currently searching for a highly qualified, bilingual (English/Spanish) Assistant Treasurer. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of finance & accounting functions related to treasury, investments and banking with the goal of positioning the organization towards the best possible outcomes as it relates to the overall budget and reputation of the organization. The Assistant Treasurer will manage a team of up to 5 staff and will work with external financial institutions and internal colleagues at all levels within the organization, and in our various country offices.
This position is graded at the P.3 level and is based in Washington, DC.
The successful candidate will have a university degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of related treasury experience, be fluent in English and Spanish and have at least 3 years of recent supervisory or managerial experience. Candidates should have at least 3 years of investment and/or banking experience. A CPA designation would be an asset. Limited international travel will be required.
