ProPAN: Process for the Promotion of Child Feeding - A tool to improve infant and young child feeding

ProPAN is a tool to design, implement, and evaluate interventions and programs to improve infant and young child diet and feeding. It includes 1) a field manual with step-by-step guidelines on how to apply quantitative and qualitative research methods; 2) an Epi Info™-based software program for data entry and analysis; and 3) a software user’s guide.

NEWS:

A two-week training seminar was conducted by UNICEF in Ethiopia, in May. Teams comprising of representatives of Ministries of Health, UNICEF, Academia and NGOs from four countries participated: Ethiopia, South Africa, Kenya and Somalia. The purpose was to develop capacity to develop trainers who can provide training in the region and also to develop capacity to implement ProPAN

A 2-hour online training session on the use of the software will be held in Spanish on June 18 at 1 pm, Washington time. Registration is not required.
