The Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) has recognized the efforts against the malaria  to the Foundation for Health Surveillance of the Amazon (SUSAM Brazil), the Administrative Department of Health and Social Security of the Chocó (DASALUD‐Chocó) Department of Chocó (Colombia), and the National Malaria Board (Suriname).
