| The International Workshop on Salth and Health |
The International Workshop on Salt and Health was held on October 31,2010 in Santiago, Chile as part of the Pre-CCNFSDU seminar on Salt and Sugars organized by WHO, FAO, PAHO and the Chilean government.
The purpose of the seminar was to contribute with more information and evidence to the discussion and work of the working group on Nutrient Reference Values (NRV), for nutrients associated with risk of diet related noncommunicable diseases for the general population of the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary uses (CCNFSDU).
The workshop on sodium/salt was prepared by the PAHO Expert Group for Population Based Cardiovascular Prevention through Dietary Salt Reduction.
