Health Systems Country Profiles

This section provides a structured analysis of each health system within each country of the region of the Americas, including design and functions. Technical guidelines were used for the preparation of each health system profile. These informative documents are updated continuously to assure current and relevant information.

The following Health Systems Profiles were created based on a country level application of technical Guidelines for the Preparation of Health Systems Profiles for each country within the region.  The concise nature and periodic updating of the Profile has made the Health Systems Profile a valuable tool for decision-makers at the national, sub-national, and international level. This is particularly relevant at a time when the strengthening of the steering role of the ministries of health has become an important item in each countries health agenda.
