Health Services

Adolescent and youth access to health services also continues to be inadequate in most countries. Many young people encounter legal and financial barriers and unfriendly environments when they use health services, including breaches in confidentiality, judgmental and disapproving attitudes relating to sexual activity and substance use, and discrimination. Additionally, access to health services (including biomedical, mental health, and others) is affected by the financial policies of the health system, geographical barriers, and availability of health personnel.
