| Featured Partnerships for Research for Health |
Countless partners—from the Rockefeller Foundation in the 1920s to the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation in the 21st century—have joined PAHO in its regional public health work. During the last decade as research for health has been placed high in the international agenda and while new mandates in the international arena have been issued to stress research for equity, health and development, new partnerships have been formed. Together with these partners PAHO intends to advance its work in priority setting, building capacity, and translating knowledge into effective decision making, setting norms and standards, and improving research governance. See below a selection of PAHO partners.
