Prevention of Needlestick Injuries (English)

The Protecting Health Care Workers: Preventing Needlestick Injuries toolkit was developed by WHO/PAHO, the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and the International Labor Organization. This train-the-trainer toolkit includes information about policies to prevent and control exposure to blood-borne pathogens, risk assessment and management, infection control and occupational health measures, the epidemiology of needlestick injuries, and post-exposure prophylaxis guidelines. The toolkit also includes a series of ready to go presentations that trainers can directly integrate as part of their training sessions.
