The PAHO/WHO Emergency Operations Center Situation Report will issue situation reports as the situation requires.

The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) today called for stepped-up efforts to prevent and control tuberculosis in the Americas, especially in vulnerable populations living in large cities.
Health authorities and experts from different countries of the Americas will discuss best practices in mobilizing political and social commitment on prevention and control of tuberculosis, especially in large cities, as well as measures to reduce illness and deaths from TB. The event, in observance of World TB Day, is being organized by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
