Pharmacovigilance

Pharmacovigilance is the science and activities relating to the detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse effects or any other possible drug-related problems.

Good Pharmacovigilance Practices for the Americas

The Pharmacovigilance Group Pan American Network for Drug Harmonisation (PARF) prepared this guide based on the perspective of the PAHO/WHO, which considers that pharmacovigilance is an essential component of public health programs. We worked with the intention of facilitating the development of pharmacovigilance systems in the Americas, as well as improve and strengthen, and promote the adoption of best practices to improve patient safety and the public, according to the needs of the region.
