| Nearly 250 million people in the Americas suffer noncommunicable disease |
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death among the chronic diseases in the Americas, according the Health in the Americas 2012 Report.
The hypertension increases to the other common risk factors with other chronic diseases. The 30% of premature deaths from cardiovascular disease occur in the poorest quintile, while only 13% in the richest quintile. Read More... (In Spanish)
