Dr.  Scott Deitchman, Associate Director for Environmental Health Emergencies in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Environmental Health, discussed today at PAHO headquarters in Washington, D.C. the role of incident management in complex institutions and the challenges that institutions should address to have well-run response operations.

The discussion was organized by the Area of Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Relief of PAHO.

Rear Admiral Scott Deitchman, MD, MPH is the Associate Director for Environmental Health Emergencies in Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Environmental Health and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry.  He leads CDC's preparations for and responses to chemical, radiological, and natural disasters.
