Next July 28 is designed as World Hepatitis Day. For this reason and in response to World Health Assembly resolution (WHA 63.18), the PAHO is getting ready to celebrate such an event either in its Washington DC Headquarters, USA, and in the countries of the Americas.

The singer Jon Secada, PAHO’s Champion of Health, will participate in the celebration at the headquarters, sharing his personal experience. The event will be on Thursday 26th July and broadcasted in the countries. Additionally, the PAHO has prepared some materials for the commemoration of World Hepatitis Day. Several countries of the Americas have also confirmed that they will be carrying out activities and events for the commemoration of World Hepatitis Day.
