| Cardivascular disease. Situation and trend |
This data visualization shows the situation and trend of the Standardized Mortality Rates (SMR) by Cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Rates were calculated by three groups of countries (Non_latin Caribbean, Latin America and North America) and sexes.
By sliding years, it is possible to see the situation of risk to die due to CVD by each group of countries and sexes.
CVD trend is decreasing in the Region of the Americas as a results of key public health interventions, but there are important differences among subregions as it is illustrated in the above data visualization.
Non-Latin Caribbean subregion has the higher mortality, almost twice of the North America and less reduction rate of CVDs by year.
