Today, NCDs are the leading causes of death and disability, accounting for more than 3.9 million deaths annually, or 75% of all deaths throughout the region.1 Like other regions of the world, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory diseases, cancers and diabetes are the most common NCDs.
