- No cases were reported in the past week, leaving the country's total case count at ten. All cases were reported in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region - nine in Hotan prefecture and one in Bazhou prefecture. The most recent case had onset of paralysis on 5 September in Bazhou.
- In districts surrounding Hotan prefecture, 4.5 million teenagers and adults aged between 15 and 39 years of age were vaccinated with trivalent OPV from 23-27 September. This older-age round is in response to several recent cases among people in their twenties. A vaccination round targeting children up to the age of fifteen will begin on 8 October.
