Guatemala 1-2 June 2011 - The final report of the “PAHO Workshop on Strategies for cervical cancer prevention using visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) screening and cryotherapy treatment” is now available. The meeting was convened in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Guatemala and held in Guatemala City on 1-2 June 2011.

It provided an opportunity to discuss the experiences and lessons learned by Latin American and Caribbean countries and partner organizations as well as to share materials and harmonize approaches for training, quality assurance, monitoring and supervision. This report, also available in Spanish, summarizes the contents and results of the workshop as well as the main conclusions and the commitments made by the participants.
