| BRICS Health Ministers Meet to Seek Areas of Cooperation |
On 11 July, the health ministers of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa—known as BRICS countries—met in Beijing, where they discussed better access to affordable, high quality medicines in order to achieve the U.N. Millennium Development Goals. Health ministers discussed the importance of technology transfer between BRICS countries and other developing nations to stimulate their capacity to produce medicines at affordable prices.
