The Director of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization, Dr. Mirta Roses, is in Colombia this week for meetings with health authorities. On Thursday, Dr. Roses is scheduled to participate in the launch of the National Initiative to Develop Human Talent in Primary Care and Integrated Health Networks. She will also sign, with Minister of Social Protection Dr. Mauricio Santamaría, the latest PAHO-Colombia Cooperation Strategy, which sets priorities for 2011 to 2014.

Dr. Roses is also scheduled to participate in the International Public Health Congress at the University of Antioquia and will meet with municipal and departmental health authorities in Antioquia tomorrow.
