Ecuador, Colombia Hold Joint Launch for 9th Vaccination Week in the Americas

Health workers, local officials, indigenous leaders and children from both Ecuador and Colombia joined together in a launching event for the 9th Vaccination Week in the Americas on April 30 at the historic Rumichaca Bridge, at the border crossing between the two countries. During the event, indigenous leaders from the Awa, Cofán, Guambianos, and Inga communities issued appeals in their native languages for wide participation in the vaccination initiative.
