Today the Tobacco Control team has launched the online course: “Tobacco and Public Health: from Theory to Practice”. The team has been working in close collaboration with Health Canada, the Ontario Tobacco Research Unit, and the Coordination of the Virtual Campus of Public Health to produce an online course on tobacco control in the Region of the Americas.  The course provides the latest evidence-based information on tobacco control science, policy and practice, while highlighting many of the successful experiences in the Region. The course is available in both Spanish and English. The course is open and free but requires registration. A certificate is provided at the successful completion of the course.
